Synagogue and prayer

The Kippah or Yarmulke is worn by Jewish men in the synagogue and at private prayer. The prayer shawl or Tallit is worn by men in the synagogue. “And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that you may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them…” (Numbers 15:39).
Kiddush cup. Kiddush is a prayer for blessing the wine on Sabbath and other festivals, both at home and in the synagogue.
