Introduction to Mused and the Curator Portal

Mused for iPhone is a mobile application that helps museum and art enthusiasts, families, students, and travelers discover museums near their current locations. Beyond just a basic directory service, Mused delivers up-to-date and thorough details about museums by a moderation staff that reviews and/or creates every entry in our database, and realtime information from social networks. In short, we're trying to make attending museums fun and entice more people to visit museums (something we know museums appreciate).

We have created the Mused Curator Portal in order to extend the ability to manage museum listings to the museums themselves (a feature often requested). We encourage all museums to create an account and claim their museum listing in order to keep the information current and up-to-date at all times.

We are integrating exhibit schedule management (past, present, and future) and exhibit media (photos and videos) to give consumers a better sense of what the museum offers and help you create lasting bonds and memories with them. These features will be available in the future for a nominal cost. To help us develop and test these features we are looking for some initial partner museums who would like to contribute this information. Initial partner museums will receive a significant discount on these services Email curator-support@musedapp.com if you are interested.

Additionally, we will begin introducing the museum sponsorship programs, an avenue for museums to receive an extended reach of consumers. We are offering discounted 6-month rates for initial launch partner museums.
